This February the SOMD is participating in the annual Governor’s State Employees Food Drive. FOOD For Lane County works hard to reduce hunger by engaging our community to create access to food. $1 can help FOOD For Lane County access and distribute 3 meals to someone in our community. We need your help to make a difference. Together, with your support, we can reach our fundraising goal of $500!

January 25, 2023 – [Eugene, OR] – The internationally renowned Oregon Bach Festival (OBF) and the University of Oregon School of Music and Dance are pleased to announce the 2023 lineup of concerts and artists. The upcoming season, which runs June 30 through July 16, continues the long-standing tradition of presenting the finest choral-orchestral works, extraordinary new music, illuminating lectures, and captivating community events.

Join us for the Oregon Music Educators Association Conference and All State Weekend January 12-15, 2023! Oregon Music Educators Association is a non-profit 501c3 organization comprised of approximately 900 members who are dedicated to the music education of Oregonians of all ages. The UO School of Music and Dance will be at the OMEA Conference representing different areas at the school. For a schedule of events the SOMD Faculty will be hosting click the link below!

The SOMD’s Committee for Equity and Inclusion invites faculty (NTTF and TTF), staff, and students to submit proposals for mini grants to support research, creative activity, and professional development that further the goals of the SOMD and the university, as articulated in the university’s IDEAL Framework: A Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Mini grants may be used to support the following:
