GETTING HERE AND PARKING
Music auditions take place in the MarAbel B. Frohnmayer Music Building, 961 East 18th Avenue, Eugene, OR 97403. You can also Google "Beall Concert Hall" and that will direct you to the School of Music and Dance.
Dance auditions take place in Gerlinger Annex, 1484 University Street, Eugene OR 97403. This building is located just north of Pioneer Cemetary, and just east of the Knight Library.
Metered and free parking can usually be found in the vicinity of the buildings, though be sure to note posted restrictions. Many visitors to campus can find metered parking on the streets adjacent to campus, or in the hourly parking lot on the north end of the Frohnmayer Music Building.

CHECK-IN
Plan to arrive at least thirty minutes before your first audition or meeting.
Music check-in table will be located in the Exine Bailey Lounge, which can be found on the first floor of the Frohnmayer Music Building, near the south end of the building.
Dance check-in table will be located on the 2nd floor of Gerlinger Annex. Enter through the northwest door and go up the stairs to find the dance studios.
When you check in at the table we will provide you with maps and detailed instructions regarding your audition day.
WARM UP SPACES
Music: All of our practice rooms will be available on audition days. Access procedures will be provided upon check-in.
Dance: Dance studios will be available for warm up
SUGGESTED AUDITION ATTIRE
Music: We suggest wearing neat, clean clothing appropriate for a daytime performance. Full formal concert dress is not necessary.
Dance: Please wear attire that allows you to move freely and allows us to appreciate the artistry of your movement. Also, plan on bringing ballet shoes or thin cotton socks for ballet (no pointe shoes) and sneakers for Hip Hop.
AUDITION LENGTH
Music
The length of auditions vary by performance area. Typical audition durations are:
- Strings: 15 minutes
- Woodwinds: 10 minutes
- Brass: 10 minutes
- Percussion: 20 minutes
- Keyboard/Piano: 20 minutes
- Voice: 10 minutes
- Jazz Studies: 15 minutes
Dance
- Four 30-minute classes.
- BFA applicants will also perform a solo no longer than 3 minutes in length and participate in a 10-minute interview.
