In co-operation with the University of Oregon’s Division of Equity and Inclusion, the SOMD Committee for Equity and Inclusion works to facilitate an inclusive, safe, and welcoming environment for all.
In 2017, the University of Oregon’s Division of Equity and Inclusion created the I.D.E.A.L. roadmap for a fully inclusive and resilient campus. Following this plan, the School of Music and Dance created our Committee for Equity and Inclusion.
Mission
We, as the Committee for Equity and Inclusion at the School of Music and Dance, work to amplify, empower, and celebrate diverse voices through the arts of music and dance to enable equitable access to those who wish to study, make, and experience music and dance in its many forms cultivate a more inclusive and welcoming environment in the School of Music and Dance.
Vision
Our vision is that everyone has a place in the School of Music and Dance.
