From the premier Chamber Choir, which specializes in a cappella repertoire from the 16th through the 21st centuries, to the Repertoire Singers laboratory chorus, the University’s choral program provides intensive training and a dynamic environment for choral musicians of all ability levels.
Students participating in the vocal performance and choral studies programs have the opportunity to perform in fully staged opera productions and international choral festivals, as well as in collaborations with the Eugene Symphony, Oregon Bach Festival, and Eugene Opera.
The UO Chamber Choir recently won first place in both the University Choir and Sacred Music with Accompaniment categories at the 2024 World Choir Games in Auckland, New Zealand. They also took first place in the Chamber Choir category at the 2019 Grand Prix of Nations in Gothenburg, Sweden.
