September 24, 2015—A UO dance education leaves its mark on graduates—just ask the members of the TRANSForm Dance Collective, an ensemble founded by eight successful alumni living in different parts of the U.S. The group has been invited back to campus in fall term 2015 for a weeklong residency.

In a concert entitled Seed, TRANSForm’s members—who hail from Philadelphia, San Diego, Seattle, and Wilmington, Delaware—will choreograph original works featuring UO students and alumni, and will perform their own works. Seed, the department’s annual fall feature concert, is scheduled for November 20 and 21 at 8 p.m. in the Dougherty Dance Theatre.

TRANSForm choreographers will also create an original work to set on the dancers of the UO Repertory Dance Company in spring term 2016.

Works presented as part of Seed will include Val Ifill’s and Eric Mullis’s “Capillary Power;” A.T. Moffett’s “Wire/Less: Form, Figure, Movement;” Marcie Mamura’s and Erinn Ernst’s “Parallels;” Carrie Goodnight’s “It's Quite Simple;” Alexandra Taylor’s “Enclosed;” and “The Whispering Directions” with choreography by somebodies Dance Theatre.
